Here's a few of the personal projects I've been working on over the years:

1969 300SEL 6.3 sedan

This car was a US early 9:1 compression car with 87,000 miles. 291 Dark Olive original paint and original cognac interior in gorgeous condition, I bought it from the next door neighbor of the original owner in south Jersey in 1995. It had been off the road since 1982, so first I had to get it driveable by replacing the waterpump and exhaust system, and redoing the brakes and air suspension. The engine needed to have the injection pump cleaned and lubed and all of the lines and injectors blown out with kerosene, which I did; subsequently I installed a Capacitive Discharge ignition system which I wired into the factory harness. I also installed a custom halogen light setup and Euro sidelights, and the car was ready to drive. Later I rebuilt the entire heating system and the gauge cluster. I used this car as a test mule to calibrate injection pumps so I could build a database of injection pump settings which has enabled me to adjust pumps without using a test bench in many cases. In the pictures you can see the wheels I installed, 17x7 aftermarket steels which bolt right on.

Here's a few of the personal projects I've been working on over the years:

1958 300d Adenauer

This is a 1958 300d Adenauer sedan conversion. Original California car, no rust. I performed extensive work on this car: I replaced the engine and transmission, completely rebuilt the brakes, front suspension and heating/ventilation system, added a (correct tall body) fuel pump, rebuilt the gauge cluster and added LEDs, rewired the lights for more practical use and replaced them with LEDs and installed halogen headlights, installed hazard flashers using one of the dash pull switches that was no longer in use, replaced the exhaust system, and modified the engine with a W112 dual point distributor and one of my Capacitive Discharge ignition systems.

1966 300SE Coupe

This is a 1966 300SE coupe, US car, presently undergoing conversion to an M100 (6.3) drivetrain. What you see in the engine compartment is a mockup that I've been using to redo the wiring harness and heater hoses, among other things. I've seen a number of these conversions, and they are all lacking in one aspect or another - some have incorrect exhaust systems, most have poor component location in the engine compartment, and a couple used 8:1 compression US engines; and as I've discovered, some modifications that are considered necessary are not and result in decreased structural integrity. This car will have none of those faults.
